IndiaLends, a pioneering digital lending marketplace in India, was facing critical user experience challenges that undermined trust and conversion rates despite its market leadership.

The Digital Lending Landscape

India's digital lending market has experienced explosive growth, with transaction values projected to reach $350 billion by 2023. However, this rapid expansion has created significant user experience challenges that undermine trust and adoption.

IndiaLends, as one of the pioneers in this space, connected borrowers with multiple lenders through a single application. While this marketplace model offered convenience, it created several critical pain points that eroded user confidence and limited platform growth.

Our comprehensive redesign aimed to transform IndiaLends from a simple loan aggregator into a trusted financial partner by addressing fundamental issues around transparency, control, and user anxiety throughout the borrowing journey.
